Pernink

Pernink ( German Bärringen ) is a municipality with 663 inhabitants in Okres Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. It is a former royal mining town that has lost over time, the city rights.

Geography

Pernink lies at an altitude of about 800 to 900 m altitude in the valley of the White Wistritz in the Bohemian Erzgebirge. The site has direct rail connection to the railway Carlsbad Johann George Town. The train station is 902 meters above sea level. NN is the highest railway station in the Ore Mountains and the second highest station in the Czech Republic.

History

The town was founded in 1532 by Saxon Protestant miners. Following the decline of the mining industry to Bärringen became a popular mountain resort and winter sports center with several hotels and guesthouses, the community from 1850 to the judicial district boards and from 1910 belonged to the district Neudek. After 1945 almost all German residents had to leave the city. Today, living in the place Pernink about 650 inhabitants.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Pernink Bludná ( Irrgang ), Pernink ( Bärringen ) and Rybná ( Fischbach ). Basic settlement units are Pernink and Rybná. To Pernink also includes the settlement Lesík ( Lessing, Lessig, Lessighäuser ).
