Perry Anderson (ice hockey)

Perry Lynn Anderson ( born October 14, 1961 in Barrie, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player ( left wing ), the for the St. Louis Blues, New Jersey Devils and San Jose Sharks played in the National Hockey League from 1981 to 1992.

Career

Anderson played with three years from 1978 to 1981 at the Kingston Canadians in the Ontario Hockey Association, which changed its name to the 1980/81 season in Ontario Hockey League. At this time he joined the League to the Brantford Alexanders.

For the 1981/82 season the winger signed his first NHL contract with the St. Louis Blues, who had chosen him already in the NHL Entry Draft in 1980 in the sixth round at 117th position. This put him at first in the Central Hockey League at the Salt Lake Golden Eagles one, but towards the end of the regular season and in the playoffs he then managed the leap into the NHL squad the Blues. He also spent the following two seasons in both the CHL and in the NHL. In the season 1984/85 he made then finally jump into the NHL team, but was transferred in the following summer to the New Jersey Devils. There, Anderson played until the end of season 1990 / 91st During this time he had accrued at the farm teams of the Devils repeatedly in the American Hockey League. For the 1991/92 season, the Devils Anderson's contract not wanted to extend, and so he signed as a free agent contract with the newly established San Jose Sharks, where he only played half a season. His career was in the seasons 1992/93 and 1993/94 close in the International Hockey League.
