Peter Daka

Peter M. Daka ( born November 3, 1960) is a politician in Zambia.

Peter Daka was shopping Manger, the board of the union Mineworkers Union of Roan and Mpatamatu and member of the Pan-African Parliament for Zambia, where he chaired the Standing Committee on Money and Finance.

Peter Daka was initially a member of the Heritage Party, joined and won for the Movement for Multiparty Democracy in the by-election on 14 October 2003 a mandate in the National Assembly of Zambia in the constituency in the district Msanzala Petauke. In the cabinet reshuffle on August 3, 2005, he was Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.

Since October 2006 he has been Minister of Communications and Transport. As such, he showed last skeptical overlooking the Eastern Africa Submarine System ( EASSy ), a fiber optic cable with an initial capacity of 320, later 640 gigabytes per second, which should range from South Africa to Sudan.
