Petra Tierlich

Petra Tierlich ( born February 25, 1945 in Vielau, Saxony ) is a former East German luger.

Petra Tierlich competed for the SC tractor Oberwiesenthal, where she was club mate other successful sledders like Anna -Maria Müller. 1965 and 1967 it reached - each behind Ortrun Enderlein - the silver medal at the World Championships. In 1969 she became what constituted their greatest personal success, world champion. For this achievement, she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit. At GDR Championships she reached a second place in 1965 as the best placement.
