Pilot (Malcolm in the Middle)

Malcolm, the hero ( original title: Pilot ) is the first broadcast episode of the U.S. comedy series Malcolm in the Middle. The first broadcast of this episode on January 9, 2000 saw an average of about 22.4 million viewers, making Malcolm in the Middle since The Simpsons reached the largest audience share of a series premiere on the U.S. network FOX. On 24 September 2001, the German -speaking Original Air Date was on the ProSieben.

Action

The sequence starts with the fact that Malcolm spent sitting on his bed to the viewer and his brothers imagines (see also breaking through the fourth wall ), at the end he said: " Do you know what is the best part of childhood? At some point it ceases to happiness. " Then follows as in every episode of Malcolm in the Middle after an intro of the opening credits.

The main story begins with Malcolm and his brothers have breakfast together, while his mother Lois shaved her standing there naked man Hal. She tells Malcolm that he should come home right after school because she has arranged to meet him with Stevie, a disabled boy who is in a wheelchair and is highly gifted. However, Malcolm is not thrilled about it and complains to his mother, however, looks quickly that he has no choice.
