Pipo Derani

Luís Felipe " Pipo " Derani (born 12 October 1993 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver. 2014 he starts in the Pro Mazda Championship.

Career

Derani began his motorsport career in karting in 2003 and was active until 2008 in this sport. Among other things, he was in 2007 Brazilian Junior runner-up. In 2009 he moved to the Formula racing and entered for Moto Park Academy in the North European Formula Renault. With two second places as the best results he finished the season in seventh place overall. He also appeared for the team in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in six races and was 27th in the overall standings. 2010 moved Derani team internally in the German Formula 3 Cup. With two fourth places for the best results he finished in tenth place in the drivers' standings. He also took part in the two years to a total of six GT races the Brazilian GT3 Championship.

2011 moved to Derani Double R Racing in the British Formula 3 Championship. With a second place as the only podium placement he finished the season in 15th place overall. 2012 Derani went to the British Formula 3 for Fortec Motorsport at the start. Already at the start of the season he managed his first British Formula 3 victory. With a total of two wins Derani was eighth in the drivers' championship. In addition, he completed three guest appearances in the Formula 3 Euro Series.

Beginning of 2013 took part Derani for Giles Motorsport at the Toyota Racing Series. With a win, he closed the Appreciation from seventh place. He subsequently received at Fortec a cockpit for the European Formula 3 Championship in 2013. Two second places were his best results. As the best pilot of his team he was on the end of the season in eighth place overall. In addition Derani was third in the Macau Grand Prix.

2014 Derani opted for a move to North America. He received a cockpit in the Pro Mazda Championship with Team Pelfrey.
