Location of Playa

Playa (Spanish for beach ) is a municipality in the rank of Municipalities in the Cuban capital of Havana Province and. The district Playa also includes the well-known district of Miramar.

In pre-Columbian settled in this area, near the coast and in relative proximity of four rivers, the indigenous people of the Taínos. For this reason, one of the largest numbers of archaeological finds in the city area were especially here registered.

Miramar
