Plužine

Plužine (Cyrillic Плужине ) is a small town in the northwest of Montenegro and has about 1500 inhabitants. The city is the center of the homonymous municipality, which covers 854 km ² and 4,300 inhabitants. It lies about 17 km south of the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the banks of Pivastausees, which is the second largest lake in the country.

Through the city's highway from Podgorica via Niksic leads to Foca in Bosnia's Republika Srpska.

Population

At the 2011 census the municipality had 3,246 Plužine inhabitants, of whom described themselves 2,131 ( 65.65 %) than Serbs and 902 ( 27.79 %) and Montenegrins. Besides living in the community are other smaller groups.
