Poland at the 1924 Winter Olympics

Poland participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 in Chamonix with a delegation of four athletes in two sports part. The Polish NOK had reported seven athletes to the games, 4 of which participated in competitions. The members of the military patrol do not count as official Olympic participants.

Balance: The most successful participants of the Polish team was the speed skaters Jucewicz Leon, who landed on squares 14 to 17 in the singles competitions and was in the all around eighth. Following the cancellation of the figure skating pair Pezdymirski Jucewicz was the only poles on the Olympic Eisoval. The sergeant Szczepan Witkowski was the only military patrol, which also launched at the cross-country specialists and more than 50 Km 21 Place finished. That this was the last place detracted from the performance of the 27 -year-old in any way. Considering that he had 80 km in the legs in just two days and the weather conditions were anything but good. Many runners had to give up or only occurred not at all. His skiing colleagues Franciszek Bujak and Andrzej Krzeptowski also bribed only moderate performance on the track and on the natural jump and occupied all including rear placements.
