Polonia Warsaw

Polonia Warsaw (official club Sportowy Piłkarski Polonia Warszawa) is a sports club from the Polish capital Warsaw. It was founded in 1911. The colors of the club are Black -White-Red - Black.

Football Division

History

The Sports Club Polonia celebrated 1946 as the first Polish football champions after the Second World War, his first major club success, which six years later, winning the cup followed. Thereafter, however, the club sank into insignificance and grew until 1994 for the first time in the Ekstraklasa, Poland's top division on. The basketball team of Polonia spieleten under the name Polonia Warsaw Azbud in Dominet Basket League. Due to financial difficulties the club has not been granted the license for the 2011/2012 season.

Chess section
