Pörnbach is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district Pfaffenhofen and forms with the market Reichertshofen the administrative community Reichertshofen.

Geography

Pörnbach lies in the planning region of Ingolstadt.

There are the following districts: Puch, Pörnbach, Raitbach.

History

Pörnbach belonged to the Counts of Toerring - Gronsfeld. The Toerring'sche castle is first mentioned in 1558, but is no longer inhabited by members of the family since the mid-18th century at the latest.

The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria, but formed a closed Hofmark whose seat was Pörnbach. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. With the market Reichertshofen is an administrative Union since 1 January 1978.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1971, until then independent municipality Raitbach was incorporated. On January 1, 1978, added Puch.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in manufacturing and 129 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. The belonging to Toerring'schen castle brewery now produces only non- alcoholic beverages at the site Pörnbach. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 44 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 590 in the manufacturing sector, there were none, the construction sector 3 farms. In addition, in 1999, there were 63 farms with an agricultural area of 1060 ha, of which 799 ha of arable land.

Traffic

Pörnbach is located at the intersection of Federal Highway 13 (Munich -Ingolstadt ) and the Federal Highway 300 ( Augsburg- Regensburg ).
