Schweitenkirchen

Schweitenkirchen is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district Pfaffenhofen.

Geography

Schweitenkirchen lies in the planning region of Ingolstadt.

There are the following districts: Anger ( with Günter village), Dürnzhausen, Eberstetten, Geisenhausen, Schweitenkirchen, Sünzhausen.

History

Should Schweitenkirchen already in the tribal formation of the Bavarians, therefore have been founded between 550 and 600. For the year 837 is held in Freising records that a woman named " Suidmuot " here, built a church and endowed them with land. In the year 972 the place " Suidmuotochirihun " is called, the common name in 1315 from " Sweitmarschirchen " is similar to the already present name. Schweitenkirchen belonged in the 17th century for Rent Office Landshut and Moosburg district court of the Electorate of Bavaria. 1660, the Chapel of St. Magdalene was built in the district of Dieter village. 1806 destroyed a large fire the place arsonist should have been a certain Franz Dobmayr. In the course of the first Bavarian State Survey of the place was due to its elevated position selected as the main triangle mesh point and 1806 measured. With the congregation of 1818 the current municipality was formed. 1841 the place was assigned to the district court Oberpfaffenhofen. In 1998 Schweitenkirchen was included as a small center at the Regional Plan 10.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1884 part of the dissolved municipality Dieter village was incorporated. On April 1, 1971, added a part of Eberstetten. Dürnzhausen followed on 1 July 1971. The incorporations were on May 1, 1978, the inclusion of Anger completed ( with the incorporated in 1884 another part of Dieter village), Geisenhausen and Sünzhausen.

Population Development

On the territory of the municipality were 1970 2.717, 1987, 3586, 2011 counted 4,906 inhabitants in 2000 and 4,667 a year.

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 2,822 K € in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted to T € 1,037.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 41, 308 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 211 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace of 280 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 1,497. In manufacturing, there was no, in the construction industry 11 companies. In addition, in 1999, there were 218 farms with an agricultural area of 3,567 ha, of which 3,066 hectares of arable land and 497 ha of permanent grassland.
