Post-Disco

Post- disco is now a term that was used in the first half of the 1980s for the disco movement. It developed in the late 1970s from various influences of dub, funk, synth pop, experimental music and jazz and has in turn strongly influenced or influenced musical styles such as Italo - Disco, Electro funk, dance-pop or house music.

The occupation of a post-disco band usually consists of a synthesizer, vocals, keyboard with sampler and sequencer and percussion instrument like percussion drum, percussion or drum machine.

Typical post- disco representatives were or are Arthur Baker, Larry Levan, Shep Pettibone, Freeez, imagination, Evelyn King, The Whispers, Kano, Skyy, Nick Straker Band, telex, Was (Not Was), and Arthur Russell.
