Pożarki ( German Pohiebels ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. It belongs to the powiat Kętrzyński, community Ketrzyn ( Rastenburg ). Geography

Pożarki located in northern Poland, approximately 30 kilometers south of the border with Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast.

History

East of the village there was a pruzzische settlement. In the 19th century a settlement on the site of the present Pożarki arose. At the end of World War II marched in 1945, the Red Army in the area a. As a result of the war, the village was part of Poland. In the school year 1945/46, a two-class school was back in operation, 1970, she was achtklassig. 1954 was the seat of a Pożarki Gromada, but this was disbanded in 1957.
