Prakovce

Prakovice ( Prakendorf German, Hungarian Prakfalva - to 1907 Prakfalu ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia.

Location

It is located in the Slovak Ore Mountains in Göllnitztal, 7 km from the city Gelnica. The place has its own rail connection on the railway line Margecany - Cervena Skala.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1368 as Villa Prakonis.
