Presentation program

A presentation program is a computer program that supports the development and presentation of a lecture or final talk.

Each presentation slide or slide to be shown in the lecture is processed with the presentation program and stored. The films combine text, images, graphics clips, charts, tables, movies and music files. They can be created on a uniform background (layout). The films that belong to a lecture together can be saved to a file.

The films can be shown with an overhead projector and printed out on a printer. In the university sector, they were transferred earlier on slides and presented with a slide projector. Therefore, presentation programs were previously known slideshows to German slideshows, named after the English name for the German word Slide slide. Today, you can program the sequence directly on the computer, bring to the screen via a video projector and control with a special remote control ( Presenter) by the lecturer. Even the soundtrack with music and sound is possible.

Zooming Presentation

As an alternative to films based on techniques of presentation, there is a user interface based on scalable technique in which the areas to be displayed can be zoomed in on demand. The user made it to the contents and creates a Abfolgeweg and the appropriate zoom level for the displayed respectively in the moment. In presenting this path is followed and zoomed at each step holding only a portion of the entire content. After the user has selected the next step is guided to the next stop and zoom level by a flowing animation. One example is Prezi.
