The Pronja (Russian Проня ) is a 336 km long right tributary of the Oka in the European part of Russia.

Course

It rises near the watershed between the river systems of the Volga and the Don in the northeast of the central Russian country back. The source is located about 20 km south of Mikhailov in the southwest of Ryazan Oblast.

First, the river flows through a narrow valley in the north, but after a few kilometers describes a wide curve towards the west and southwest. About 15 kilometers east of Kimowsk it reaches the border of the Tula Oblast. Here it turns north and is dammed to form a reservoir.

Then the Pronja continues to flow in, first northerly direction along the boundary of the oblasts of Tula and Ryazan. West of Oktyabrsky she turns to the east.
