Queensway tube station

Queensway is an underground station of the London Underground in the City of Westminster. It lies on the northern edge of Kensington Gardens, at the junction of Queensway and Bayswater Road and is served by the Central Line. In 2011, 8.86 million passengers used the station. Approximately 200 meters to the north, also on the Queensway, the station is Bayswater.

Located in the Travelcard Zone 1 station was opened by the Central London Railway, the predecessor of the Central Line, on 30 July 1900, was called at the beginning Queen's Road. The name change took place in Queensway on September 9, 1946. The station building was designed by Harry Bell Measures as usual at the Central London Railway.
