Racing Plast Burträsk

Racing Plast Burträsk was a Swedish manufacturer of automobiles.

Company History

Kjell Lindskog founded in 1965 in Burträsk the company began in 1966 with the production of automobiles, also in kit car form. The brand name was RPB. The stringent licensing requirements in Sweden from the summer of 1970 led to the Swedish market broke away for such vehicles. From 1970 to 1971, some vehicles were exported to Finland and Norway. A fire in May 1971 caused a year-long break in production. Defusing the licensing requirements in Sweden in the early 1980s meant that production was resumed. 1981 production ended for good. A total of about 300 vehicles emerged.

Rolling stock

The company initially manufactured exclusively racing car racing class formula V. 1968 followed street vehicles. The first model was the piraya. This was a kit car based on the VW Beetle. The flat, two-seater body had two doors. Within a year, 40 kits were sold. The GT model with normal doors followed in 1969. Both models were also sold as complete vehicles.
