Raná (Louny District)
Raná ( German Rannay ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north of Louny in the southwestern foothills of the Bohemian Uplands and belongs to Okres Louny.
Geography
Raná located at the foot of the 457 m mountain Raná. In the vicinity are more indipendent cone volcanic mountains, east rises the Oblík (509 m), north and south of the Mila Stříbrník. Through the village leads the state road 28 between Louny and cider, the 250 branches off from the in Raná after Žatec.
Neighboring towns are Odolice, Bělušice and Sinutec in the north, and Charvatce Mnichov in the northeast, and Oblík Chraberce in the east, in the southeast Nečichy, Lenešice and Dobroměřice in the south, Hradek in the west and Mila in the northwest.
History
Was first mentioned the village in 1333. Since the time of the Hussite Wars, until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848 was Raná to the possession of the city Laun. The village Oblík was part of the Municipal Property, it was destroyed in the Thirty Years War and went out.
1930, Rannay 483 inhabitants. 1939, the site was reclassified in the jurisdiction Laun in the district of Bilin, lived at this time in the village of 408 people.
The district Hradek is located at the western foot of the mountain Raná and belonged to the municipal reform of 1960 for community Mila, which is a district of Bečov today. In Hradek is a gliding field. The mountain Raná is now quite popular with paragliding athletes.

The municipality consists of the villages Raná Hradek ( Hradek ) and Raná ( Rannay ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke. To Raná also includes the monolayer Oblík.
