Randy Ladouceur

Randy Ladouceur (* June 30, 1960 in Brockville, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player and current coach, who during his active period from 1977 to 1996, including for the Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League played.

Career

Randy Ladouceur began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey Association, in which he was active for the Hamilton and Brantford Alexanders Fincups 1977-1980. During this period he received on November 1, 1979 as a free agent contract with the Detroit Red Wings, without being ever drafted.

After the defender in his first two seasons in Detroit exclusively for their farm teams that ran aground Kalamazoo Wings in the International Hockey League and the Adirondack Red Wings of the American Hockey League, he was in the 1982/83 season his debut in the National Hockey League for the Red Wings, where he had four assists in 27 games. Then he had a place in the NHL team. On 12 January 1987 Ladouceur was issued in exchange for Dave Barr at the League rival Hartford Whalers, for which he was on the following six and a half seasons on the ice. After three more years with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, the second team captain, he was between 1994 and 1996, the left gunner ended his active career in 1996.

Immediately following the end of his playing career Ladouceur was an assistant coach at his former club Hartford Whalers. After the resettlement of Canadians remained in the franchise and worked until 2004 as an assistant coach Paul Maurice in Carolina Hurricanes. His first and only job as head coach was the former NHL players in the 2005/06 season with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League. He then moved to the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he worked as an assistant coach again. On 7 May 2008 Ladouceur was fired by the General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Cliff Fletcher, along with head coach Paul Maurice. In the 2009/10 season Ladouceur worked as an assistant coach with the Niagara IceDogs in the OHL.

In July 2010, Ladouceur was presented as assistant coach of the Hamilton Bulldogs under Randy Cunneyworth. A year later the carriage was followed by the assistant coach with the Montreal Canadiens.
