Remedios T. Romualdez, Agusan del Norte
Remedios T. Romualdez is a town in the province of Agusan del Norte on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines.
Geography
The municipality is bordered to the north by the municipality of Cabadbaran, south to Butuan City, on the west by Magallanes, all in the province of Agusan del Norte and on the east by the municipality in the province of Agusan del Sibagat Sur.
The Municipality of Remedios T. Romualdez has an area of 81.47 km ², of which 49.45 km ² ( 60.70 %) used for farming, 22.23 km ² ( 27.29 %) are forested, 1.69 km ² (2, 07 %) are used as a settlement area, 8.00 km ² ( 9.82% ) are of industrial space and 0.10 (0.12 %) is other land.

History
Remedios T. Romualdez is named after the mother of Imelda Marcos of the wife of former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos.
Remedios T. Romualdez is the youngest municipality in the province of Agusan del Norte, it was on 1 January 1984 from the originally Cabadbaran belonging barangays Agay, Basilisa, Balangbalang, Humilog, Panaytayon, San Antonio and Tagbongabong.
Religious affiliation and population structure
The most widely spoken languages are Cebuano, Ilocano and Hiligaynon, the population is among the ethno- linguistic groups of the Manobo and Mamanwa.
75 % of the population belongs to the Roman Catholic faith, 6 % belong to the Aglipay Church, 6 % belong to Protestant denominations, and 14% belong to other faiths.
Economy
The road network is composed of three kilometers of national roads, 14 km provincial roads, 9 km township roads and 57 km Barangaystraßen. The streets are largely gravel or dirt roads pure.
The municipality is more important rice producer in the province of Agusan del Norte and has nationwide one of the most important manganese mineral deposits.
