F The Rhaetian Alps (often Rhaetian - Italian Alpi Retiche ) is a mountain range in the central Alps in the border area of eastern Switzerland to Austria, Liechtenstein and Italy north of the Valtellina ( Addatal ) and east of the Rhine and the rear Bergell.

Location

The Rhaetian Alps are a majority in the Swiss canton of Grisons east of Splügenpass. They are prepared by the Engadine in a northern part (highest peak Piz Linard, 3'411 m asl. ) To Liechtenstein and the Austrian provinces of Vorarlberg and Tyrol, and southern (highest peak Piz Bernina, 4049 m above sea level.
