Richard Thomas Guilfoyle

Richard Thomas Guilfoyle ( born December 22, 1892 in Adrian, Pennsylvania, USA, † June 10, 1957 ) was Bishop of Altoona.

Life

Richard Thomas Guilfoyle received on 2 June 1917, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On August 8, 1936, he was named by Pope Pius XI. Bishop of Altoona. The Bishop of Erie, John Mark Gannon, donated to him on November 30th of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Newark, Thomas Joseph Walsh, and the Bishop of Concordia, Francis Joseph depth.
