Rinaldo Nocentini

Rinaldo Nocentini ( born September 25, 1977 in Montevarchi ) is an Italian racing cyclist.

Nocentini won the silver medal in the road race in the U23 class at the UCI Road World Championships 1998. Then he got in 1999 a professional contract with Mapei. Right at the beginning of the season, he won two stages at the Tour de Langkawi. His next successes came in the one-day race Giro di Toscana and Subida al Naranco. He also won a stage of the 2004 Tour of Poland. From 2004 to 2006 Nocentini team Acqua e Sapone Continental drove for the Professional. After a strong year, he was in 2007 by ProTeam AG2R La Mondiale committed as a reinforcement for the classics. On the 7th stage of the 2009 Tour de France he was able to secure in fourth place the yellow jersey. He won the Mediterranean Tour 2010 after the actual winner Alejandro Valverde was stripped after positive doping test and subsequent doping suspension of victory.
