History

History Niederabsdorf

Emperor Henry III. gave the 1045 Bavarian monastery Niederaltaich the area Zaya, in order to secure his kingdom against the Hungarians. For the first time Niederabsdorf was mentioned in 1148 under the name " Zaia ". 1232: First recorded as "Villa Absdorf " (village of the Abbot of Niederaltaich ). To 1234, the parish Niederabsdorf was created - first named as possession of the monastery Lower Old ego. 1406: Liechtenstein bailiffs in Niederabsdorf. 1420-1436: Hussiteneinfälle. 1683 Niederabsdorf was invaded by the Turks, who destroyed the church built in 1045. During an attack by the Kuruzzen on June 20, 1704, the village was burned down. 1866 had then the Prussians Niederabsdorf under control. By 1890 the village had 142 houses and 941 inhabitants. In 1896, the volunteer fire department Niederabsdorf was founded. On 1 January 1971 Niederabsdorf and Ringelsdorf was merged. For the first time Ringelsdorf was mentioned in 1200 as " Ringlinsdorf " ( "Village of the Ringili " ) in documents.
