Geography

Ristedt is located six kilometers northwest of blocks. The 92 -meter-high mountain hut is located four kilometers to the west. By Ristedt the Jeetze flows.

History

The first mention of ristede ( point at Ried ) with five courtyards is available from the year 1112. 1465 was Ristedt enfeoffed by Bernhard von der Schulenburg. Ristedt has had a turbulent time behind. So Ristedt 1626 was sacked by the Danes in 1627 sacked by Tilly's mercenaries and 1630 destroyed Wallenstein's troops Ristedt complete and plundered the church completely from (including the bell). 1821 built Ackermann angels as the first in what is now New Ristedt, hence the name colony Engelland. 1915, the colony Engelland was renamed New Ristedt.

Due to a change in the contract area, the municipal council of the municipality Ristedt decided on 5 January 2009 that the church Ristedt is incorporated into the city blocks. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

After incorporation of the previously autonomous municipality Ristedt New Ristedt and Ristedt were districts of the city blocks.
