Rohr im Burgenland is a municipality with 385 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Güssing in Burgenland in Austria. The Hungarian name of the village is NAD.

Geography

The municipality is located in southern Burgenland. Rohr im Burgenland is the only place in the community. 1992 tube was a separate municipality in Burgenland after she was previously a part of the community Bocksdorf.

History

The place was like the rest of Burgenland to 1920/21 Hungary ( German West Hungary). Since 1898, had to be used because of Magyarization the government in Budapest the Hungarian name of NAD.

After the end of World War II German West Hungary was awarded in the Treaties of St. Germain and Trianon in 1919 Austria after tough negotiations. The place belongs since 1921 to the newly founded State of Burgenland (see also history of Burgenland ).

Today is in the pipe largest fen in Austria. The bog is fed by Zickenbach with water. It is the biggest attraction, which is offered in the community for tourists.
