Rolando the national team of Portugal (2011)
Rolando Jorge Pires da Fonseca ( born August 31, 1985 in São Vicente ) is a Cape Verdean - Portuguese footballer. He is the Portuguese traditional club FC Porto under contract, but playing on loan at Inter Milan.
Career
In its clubs
Rolando began his career in the youth department of the Portuguese club SC Campomaiorense before he joined Belenenses Lisbon, where he made his debut in the Primeira Liga in 2004.
2008 he changed to the Portuguese top team FC Porto, with Rolando won numerous national titles. Greatest success during his time at Porto but was winning the UEFA Europa League in 2011. In the final against SC Braga central defender stood over the full 90 minutes on the court.
For the second half of the 2012/13 season Rolando was loaned to the Italian Serie A for Napoli. In August 2013 was followed by a loan at Inter Milan.
In the National Team
Born in Cape Verde, Rolando was awarded the Portuguese citizenship after application. Since then he has played in both the U -21 and in the national team for Portugal.
With Portugal's U -21 he took part in the U-21 European Championship in 2007 in the Netherlands. For the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, he was appointed by Carlos Queiroz in the squad came in the tournament but to no use.
