Andrea Ranocchia (born 16 February 1988 Assisi ) is an Italian footballer who is since 2011 with Inter Milan in Serie A under contract.

Career
Association
Andrea Ranocchia started his career in the youth from Perugia Calcio. After his bankruptcy, he moved to AC Arezzo. He made his debut on 9 September 2006 for the Tuscans in Serie B. In his first season at Arezzo he could establish himself as a regular player, but could not prevent the following relegation to Serie C1. In the following season, the young defender finally rose to a top performer and one of the most important players on the team. To be after he reached the sixth place with Arezzo and direct resurgence missed, he transferred in the summer of 2008, Genoa in the Serie A. Without at Genoa ever been used, he joined in November 2008 on loan to second division club AS Bari. The Apuliern he could play fast in the basic formation and managed at end of season promotion to the A. Series For 2009/10 season the lending with Genoa was extended by one year and Ranocchia formed, along with the one years older Leonardo Bonucci a strong central defender duo before a knee injury put him for the rest of the season out of action.
For the 2010/11 season Ranocchia returned to Genoa, where he was a regular player before it a 2015 dated contract at Inter Milan, which already held a part of transfer rights to the defender signed in January 2011. Initially he provided some good performances at Inter, he failed due to various injuries numerous games and fell into a deep form. Only in the season 2012/13 Ranocchia was able to increase its performance again and again he was regularly convened in the Italian national team, although mostly as a reserve player.
National
Andrea Ranocchia made his debut on 21 August 2007 in the match against France for the Italian U -21 selection. Later, he played three games for the Italian U-20 national team and was appointed to the Italian team for the U-21 European Championship in Sweden. He completed two games and failed with the Italians in the semi-final at the eventual winners Germany. On 17 November 2010 Ranocchia made his debut in the match against Azzurra Romania in the Squadra.
The defender was also the preliminary squad of the Italian national team for the 2012 European Championship, as eight other players of coach Cesare Prandelli from the Italian Championship squad but was then deleted.
Suspicion of match-fixing
Ranocchia was interrogated August 3, 2012 as part of the Italian football betting scandal of the prosecutor's office in Bari. Together with other former players of AS Bari, had played for the Ranocchia from 2008 to 2010, he was suspected of games of the season 2009/10 ( other media reports of games of the season 2008/ 09) to have tampered with. According to Gazzetta dello Sport Rannochia have rejected the only Bari player a bribe.
