The Archdiocese of Durban (Latin: Archidioecesis Durbanianus ) is a location in South Africa Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Durban.

History

The Archdiocese of Durban on November 15, 1850 by Pope Pius IX. from the Apostolic Vicariate of territory Cape of Good Hope, erected as Apostolic Vicariate of Natal. The Apostolic Vicariate of Natal was in its history several times parts of its territory from the creation of new Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Prefectures and.

On January 11, 1951, the Apostolic Vicariate of Natal was by Pope Pius XII. raised to an archbishopric and renamed Archdiocese of Durban. The Archdiocese of Durban was on June 23, 1958 from parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Prefecture of Volksrust.
