Roman Catholic Diocese of Galle

The Diocese of bile ( Latin: Dioecesis Gallensis ) is a location in Sri Lanka Roman Catholic diocese based in bile. It covers the areas of the southern province.

History

The diocese of Galle was born on August 25, 1893 by Pope Leo XIII. built out of territory of the Archdiocese of Colombo and this is a suffragan. On November 2, 1995, the Diocese of Galle were from parts of its territory to the foundation of built by the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius Diocese of Ratnapura.
