Roman Catholic Diocese of Ratnapura

The Diocese of Ratnapura (Latin: Dioecesis Ratnapurensis ) is a location in Sri Lanka Roman Catholic diocese based in Ratnapura. It includes the Sabaragamuwa Province.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Ad aptius consulendum on November 2, 1995, cessions of territory of the diocese of Galle and it was the archbishopric Colomboh assumed as suffragan.
