Roman Catholic Diocese of Jalapa (Guatemala)

The Diocese of Jalapa (Latin: Dioecesis Ialapensis in Guatimala ) is located in Guatemala Roman Catholic diocese based in Jalapa. It comprises the departments Jalapa, El Progreso and Jutiapa.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded the diocese on March 10 in 1951 of territory of the Archdiocese of Guatemala.
