Roman Catholic Diocese of Escuintla

The Diocese of Escuintla (Latin: Dioecesis Escuintlensis ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Escuintla. It includes the Department of Escuintla.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded the Territorialprälatur Escuintla on May 9, 1969 cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Guatemala. On 28 July 1994 she was elevated to the bishopric.
