Roman Catholic Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg

The Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg ( Latin: Dioecesis Coslinensis - Colubreganus ) ( German: Koszalin and Kolobrzeg ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the northwest of Poland, the parts of the provinces of Wielkopolska, Pomerania and West Pomerania includes. Bishop's seat is Koszalin ( Koszalin ).

Geographical Location

The Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg is bordered to the north by the Baltic Sea, to the west by the Archdiocese of Szczecin - Pomerania, on the south by the Diocese of Zielona Góra - Gorzów, the Archdiocese of Poznan, the Archdiocese of Gniezno and the Diocese of Bydgoszcz, and on the east by the Diocese Pelplin. History

The Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg is a relatively new diocese in the Roman Catholic Church in Poland. By the Apostolic Constitution Episcoporum Poloniae coetus of 28 June 1972, Pope Paul VI. the diocese of diocesan territories that belonged until then de jure to the diocese of Berlin or the Prelature Schneidemühl, since September 1945 but de facto administrators had been subordinate.
