Roman Catholic Diocese of Mileto-Nicotera-Tropea

The diocese Mileto - Nicotera - Tropea (Latin: Dioecesis Miletensis - Nicotriensis - Tropiensis, Italian: Diocese of Nicotera - Tropea - Mileto ) is a located in Italy Roman Catholic diocese based in Mileto.

History

The diocese Mileto - Nicotera - Tropea was built in the 11th century as a diocese Mileto. In 1093 the diocese Mileto was mandated by Pope Urban II with the Apostolic Constitution Potestas ligandi the Holy See directly.

Since December 21, 1973, the diocese and the diocese Mileto Nicotera - Tropea were administered in personal union. On 30 September 1986 the diocese Mileto was annexed by the Congregation for Bishops with the decree Instantibus votis the Diocese of Nicotera - Tropea.

The diocese Mileto is now subordinate to the Archdiocese of Reggio Calabria - Bova suffragan.
