Roman Catholic Diocese of Åšwidnica

The diocese Świdnica (Latin: Dioecesis Suidniciensis, poln: Diecezja Świdnicka ) is located in Poland Roman Catholic diocese based in Swidnica ( German Schweidnitz ).

History

The diocese Świdnica was built on 24 February 2004 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Multos fructus spiritales of annexations of the Archdiocese of Wroclaw and the bishopric of Legnica and the Archdiocese of Wroclaw assumed as suffragan.

First bishop was Ignacy Dec.

Auxiliary Bishop since March 19, 2008 Adam Bałabuch, Titular Bishop of Aurusuliana.
