The Diocese of Zamość - Lubaczów (Latin: Dioecesis Zamosciensis - Lubaczoviensis, poln: Diecezja zamojsko - lubaczowska ) is located in Poland Roman Catholic diocese based in Zamość.

History

The Diocese of Zamość - Lubaczów was built in 1991 by Pope John Paul II made ​​cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Lviv as Apostolic Administration Lubaczów. On 25 March 1992, the Apostolic Administration Lubaczów was raised by John Paul II to the Pontifical Bull Totus Tuus Poloniae populus to the diocese and renamed Diocese of Zamość - Lubaczów and the Archdiocese of Przemysl assumed as suffragan.

Cathedral

The three-nave church with its mannerist façade, the slender columns and decorated their vaults designed Bernardo Morando (ca. 1540-1600 ). The construction of the church lasted from 1587 to 1630. You is now the cathedral church of the patron saint to Christ's Resurrection and St. Thomas the Apostle. The decor is rich in wood carvings, the high altar construction, a silver Rococo tabernacle.
