Ronny Heberson Furtado de Araújo, short Ronny, formerly Tody, ( born May 11, 1986 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian footballer. Since 2010 he plays as a midfielder for Hertha BSC. He is known for his powerful left foot shot.

Career

Ronny started his professional career in 2004 at SC Corinthians Paulista and played there for three years. When his contract expired in 2006, many European top clubs sought a commitment of promising talent. In the transfer poker ultimately Sporting Lisbon against Manchester City, PSV Eindhoven and Paris Saint- Germain was able to prevail.

Since the transfer to Portugal Ronny had always problems to play himself into the starting lineup, so that he was only twelve league appearances in the 2006/07 season, although he a highly regarded free-kick to make it 1-0 in the 88th minute against Naval 1 º de Maio in Figueira da Foz shot. Family

His brother Raphael is also a professional football player and has played for two years with him for Hertha. He currently plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
