The Roots Hall stage (in short: Roots Hall ) is a football stadium in Southend -on-Sea, Essex in the East of England. The football club Southend United 's owners, where it supports its home games. Opened in 1955 stadium holds 12,392 spectators today on the covered grandstands. Since 2006 there are plans to build a new stadium with the name Fossett farm Stadium and 22,000 seats. In August 2010 it was announced to be started construction within the next twelve months.
