Roudné

Roudné ( German Ruden ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers south of the center of České Budějovice in Southern Bohemia, České Budějovice and belongs to the.

Geography

Roudné is located on the left bank of the Maltsch in Budweiser pool. To the north- east lies the pond Hodějovický fishpond. To the east rises in the Lischauer threshold ( Lisovsky práh ) the Hůrecký Kopec ( 541.7 m), and southeast of Zlatý jelen ( 478 m). To the east extends beyond the Maltsch the railway line České Velenice - České Budějovice, and west of the village, the railway Linz Hbf - Summerau - České Budějovice.

Neighboring towns are Rožnov, Pec pod and Nové Hodějovice in the north, Staré Hodějovice in the northeast, Doubravice in the east, Nedabyle and Vidov the southeast, Lorenc and Plav in the south, Lesní colony Včelná, U Karla and Poříčí the southwest, Černý Dub and Homole in the West and Plana and Nové Roudné in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Hrudny took place on April 3, 1411 in the course of the succession of the late Kunc of Mlade. After the abolition of patrimonial Ruden / Roudné formed in 1850 a district of the municipality Rožnov / Strodenitz in the district administration and the judicial district of the Budějovice / Budweis. 1869 was the village of 31 houses and 194 inhabitants had. In 1885, Ruden broke loose from Rožnov and formed its own community. In 1910, Ruden / Roudné had 198 inhabitants, of whom 157 were German and 41 Czechs. The village belonged to the German-speaking island to Budweis. After the founding of Czechoslovakia in 1918 was an increasing influx of Czechs. In 1930 Roudné consisted of 71 houses and had 295 inhabitants, of whom 216 were Czechs and 78 German. On January 1, 1953 Vidov was incorporated. In the 1960s arose between Roudné and Rožnov Budweiser district Nové Roudné. Since the 1980s Roudné grew up with Nové Roudné, one also called Nové Roudné settlement was established in the corridors of Roudné. The village school was closed in 1976. After a referendum on November 24, 1990 Vidov sparked off again and has since formed a separate municipality. In the 1991 census living in the 128 houses of Roudné 458 people; Roudné the village consisted of 80 houses with 295 inhabitants, the village of Nové Roudné comprised 48 houses with 163 inhabitants. In the year 2001 171 houses were counted with 554 inhabitants in the municipality. 2009, a new bridge over the Maltsch was built. Roudné has the character of a suburb of České Budějovice today.
