Royal Society of Edinburgh

The Royal Society of Edinburgh is Scotland's national academy of sciences. The number of members is limited to 1400. Analogous to the membership of the official title FRSE ( Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh) will be awarded. In addition, grants totaling £ 500,000 are awarded annually.

History

The Royal Society of Edinburgh was founded in 1783. 1785 appeared the first volume of the Transactions of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, which among other James Hutton's Theory of the Earth was published. 1832 began with the publication of the Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.

Prices

You assign different prices, for example, the Keith Medal, since 2000, the Royal Medal in various fields, the Wolfson James Clerk Maxwell Award for Electronics ( since 2006), the WS Bruce Medal and the Neill Medal.
