Rüdtligen- Alchenflüh is a municipality in the administrative district of Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. Until 1926 was the official name of the municipality Rüdtligen.

Geography

Rüdtligen- Alchenflüh is located on 505 m above sea level. Level, 5 km northwest of the town of Burgdorf (air line). The village is located in the southern part of the broad alluvial plain of the river Emme, on the left side of the river across from Kirchberg ( BE), the Swiss Plateau.

The area of ​​2.7 km ² large municipality area includes a portion of the central Bernese Midland and has virtually no differences in relief on. Population

With 2352 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) Rüdtligen- Alchenflüh belongs to the medium-sized municipalities in the canton of Bern. Of the residents 85.2 % are German, 3.8 % and 2.3 % speak Italian- Albanian (as of 2000). The population of Rüdtligen- Alchenflüh amounted in 1850 to 476 residents in 1900 to 518 inhabitants. Economy

History

Probably at the time of the Kingdom of Upper Burgundy, the place was an important place of judgment (under the tree to Alchenflüh Saar ) in the region. In the High Middle Ages Rüdtligen and Alchenflüh belonged to the royal court of Kirchberg. Later, the villages were under the suzerainty of Zaehringen and from the 13th century to that of Kyburg.
