Saab 340

History

Goal of the developers was to design an aircraft that may be located in the regional aircraft segment, but should be better than the competition in speed and comfort. After Fairchild in 1984, withdrew from the project, the development of Saab was continued alone in Linköping, Sweden, and changed the name to Saab 340 A. Construction

Incidents
