Air Bremen

Air Bremen was a German airline from Bremen.


The airline was founded on November 6, 1988 by aviation businessman Augustine YES Boots - was also involved, among others, still the Hanseatic Industrial Investments GmbH (HIBEG ) of Bremen with 42 % of the shares, as well as two shipping lines and insurance.

On 28 March 1989 using two leased Saab 340 they took to flight operations; but the goal of the promotion of the targeted 59,000 passengers this year, was missed, instead you could only carry 34,000 passengers and why not write black. Nevertheless, Air Bremen expanded in March 1990 through the leasing of another Saab 340

Because of a smoldering financial crisis in the summer of 1990 threatened an under-capitalization. There is no other sufficiently financially strong partner were found. Therefore, the owner precipitated the decision to liquidate the company. The flight was closed down on 22 August 1990.


From their base in Bremen, the airline served the goals Brussels, Paris, Vienna, London and Copenhagen.
