Saint-Jean-d'Angély

Saint -Jean- d'Angély is a commune with 7702 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Charente -Maritime in the Poitou-Charentes region on the banks of Boutonne; it is the administrative center for the district of Saint -Jean- d'Angély and the canton of the same name. The place name is often abbreviated to Saint -Jean- d'Y.
