Saint-Pierre-de-Mézoargues
Saint- Pierre -de- Mézoargues is a commune of 235 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône in the Provence- Alpes- Côte d' Azur.

Geography
The place is located just one kilometer from the left bank of the Rhône, between the towns of Vallabrègues and Boulbon. Right next to the town center, the border to the neighboring Vallabrègues which also forms the border with the department of Gard and thus also to the region of Languedoc -Roussillon.
History
The exact meaning of the name " Mézoargues " is controversial. It could mean " Maison des Eaux " (House of the water). Until 1992 it was known as just " Mézoargues ".

Jacky Picquet was elected for the term 2008-2014 as mayor.
