Salem

Salem is a place name, which in some places in the Old Testament of the Bible (Gen. 14:18; (Ps 76.3 ELB ). Heb 7,1 and 2) as the seat of the king Melchizedek appears. It is usually interpreted as the name of the city of Jerusalem.
