The Salt River Township is one of eight townships in Audrain County in the central north east of the U.S. state of Missouri. In 2010, the Salt River Township had 9497 inhabitants.

Geography

The Salt River Township is located about 70 km north of the Missouri River and about 90 km west of the Mississippi River, which forms the border with Illinois.

The Salt River Township is located at 39 ° 11 ' N, 91 ° 54' W39.176111111111 - 91.895833333333 and extends over 289.21 km ², spread over 288.07 km ² land and 1.14 km ² water surface.

The Salt River Township is located in the center of the Audrain County and extends from the northern border to the Monroe County up to the southern border of the Callaway County by the county.
